'Assassin's Creed: Unity' announces 4-player, narrative co-op multiplayer mode

Ubisoft is preparing to debut two new trailers for Assassin's Creed: Unity at this year's E3 conference, one of which will show off the single-player story mode of the highly anticipated video games. While this is clearly exciting, the second trailer will showcase footage of a new feature of the Assassin's Creed franchise: multiplayer!

According to Escapist Magazine, "Assassin's Creed: Unity will, for the first time in franchise history, feature a four-player 'narrative' co-op mode."

Assassin's Creed: Unity is expected to be released later this year.

Ubisoft stated in accordance with the video game's announcement: "We have been working on the new Assassin's Creed for more than three years and although we weren't quite ready to show you our full vision for a next-gen only AC, it seems Abstergo are trying to force our hand! So here's a true first look at in-game footage from Assassin's Creed Unity. Stay tuned - we'll have many more exciting details for you in the months ahead!"
