Netflix Announces Premiere Date For Fourth And Final Season Of ‘The Killing!’ [WATCH VIDEO]
After the murder/mystery series was cancelled on AMC, Netflix swooped in to save the critical darling and bring much-need closure for the TV show. This August, detectives Linden and Holder return to solve one last case in Netflix's final season of The Killing.
In the upcoming fourth season, Linden (Mirielle Enos) and Holder (Joel Kinnaman) are reunited once more to solve one last case together. According to TV Line, the duo have to investigate a crime that takes place inside a military school. Frances Fisher (Titanic) and Joan Allen (The Bourne Supremacy) join the cast as possible suspects or red herrings.
[SPOILERS] In the third season, Linden and Holder were investigating a murder case that involved a serial killer chasing after runaway teens. Linden found out who the perpetrator was and murdered him in cold blood, right in front of her partner. In open-ended finale, audiences are left to wonder what happens after between the detectives.
Hopefully, we will find out what happened between the two after the fatal shootout. Did Holder put his partner in cuffs and hand her over to the authorities? Or did he cover-up the crime to save his partner's fledging police career? Whatever choice Holder does make, there is no way their relationship will ever be the same.
