'Rude Boy' singer Rihanna sued for Defamation by former bodyguard, Geoffrey Keating
MStars has learned that singer Rihanna is being sued for defamation by a former bodyguard who claims that she went too far.
According to TMZ, Geoffrey Keating filed a lawsuit Monday in Ireland that has allowed his attorney to serve Rihanna with the suit in the U.S.
The former body guard has claimed that the "Rude Boy" singer made "nauseatingly offensive" and false comments about him and his partner through email last summer.
Keating also claims that the offensive statements were also made during a phone call to his sister.
The former bodyguard was head of security for the Grammy award-winning singer while she was on tour between October 2012 and July 2013.
Keating is claims that the comments made have damaged his reputation and his business.
Keating's attorney, Gerald Kean says, "We're taking this battle very seriously. We are satisfied that the Irish Courts will see justice at the end of the day."
No comments have been made from Rihanna's team.
