'Star Wars: Episode VII' Official Cast Announced [PHOTO]: Adam Driver, Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Andy Serkis and more confirmed!
After over a year of casting meetings, denials and just about every rumor popping up, we finally have the official Star Wars: Episode VII cast. This week, Lucasfilm announced the stars that will take us into a new generation of Star Wars with director J.J. Abrams.
As suspected, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker will reprise their respective roles in the new film. Plus, actors John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow are the new names for joining the movie.
"We are so excited to finally share the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII," Abrams said in a statement today. "It is both thrilling and surreal to watch the beloved original cast and these brilliant new performers come together to bring this world to life, once again. We start shooting in a couple of weeks, and everyone is doing their best to make the fans proud."
As you can see from the photo above, the cast is currently ready to film Episode VII.
Other reports coming out this week speculated that Ford's role of Han Solo will be "gigantic" in Episode VII. We'll have to wait and see about this, but at least we finally have the confirmed cast from Abrams and Disney!
