Arrow Season 2 Spoilers on Roy and John Barrowman's return as Malcolm Merlyn
The CW's Arrow is hurtling toward its Season 2 finale as Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Slade (Manu Bennett) battle for control of Starling City. But those are just two players in the larger war, and some old faces will soon return to get involved in the action.
Firstly, the "Mega Buzz" column at TV Guide reports the following about Roy:
"Unfortunately, Roy will remain in a venom-induced coma for several episodes as Team Arrow attempts to track down the cure. 'The cure is not only the means to salvage Roy, but it's also the means to stop Slade,' executive producer Andrew Kreisberg says. Although Roy will be awake by the finale, the team will grapple with whether or not to reveal that Roy killed someone during his Mirakuru rage - a decision that I hear will come back to haunt them in Season 3."
And the "Spoiler Chat" column at E! Online has information about John Barrowman's return as Malcolm Merlyn:
"OK, last week's episode of Arrow was the best one they've ever done. How are they going to be able to top themselves?
By bringing back a big guest star: John Barrowman as Malcolm Merlyn! So how will his return to Starling City effect Thea, who will be reeling from the big death? 'In many, many ways,' Willa Holland previews of how Malcolm's presence will impact Thea. 'I don't want to give too many spoilers, but Merlyn's coming back is definitely going to take her down a path and it's going to be a dark and gloomy path.' Bonus: Holland teases the final episodes of the reason will be 'bringing up some really good DC Comics' storylines."
