'Vampire Diaries' Season 5 Spoilers: Ian Somerhalder Talks Steamy Threesome & Season Finale
Ian Somerhalder sat down with E!'s Kristin Dos Santos of Watch With Kristin to talk about all things Vampire Diaries.
He gives little hints and teasers to what fans can expect from the season five finale, and when we say he teases the episode, we really mean it. It's hard for Kristin to get a straight answer out of the 35-year-old actor who plays Damon on the hit series.
He even jokes about his characters death on the show... at least we are hoping he's joking; saying that "When Damon dies it's the dopest thing."
Host Kristin tells the actor that if that really were to happen she would be writing and picketing the CW. Ummm... If that happens we'll be grabbing our signs and joining her on the picket line.
The CW show is currently airing its fifth season, and the episodes have been so steamy that we usually have to take a cold shower afterwards, just to cool down. But could the season finale have the steamiest scene yet? Maybe a possible threesome?
Somerhalder tells the host that the season finale is not going to be what people are expecting.
"The ending I think is really going to throw people. And it definitely involves Damon in a very cool way. I'm actually excited to see what happens."
The actor continues by saying, "The tease would be there is very very cool stuff with Damon, Elena and Bonnie, stuff you just didn't see."
At which point he throws out that "maybe it's a three-way," before laughing and continuing on with the interview.
A three-way involving Bonnie, Elena, and Damon... I think we just melted. Could you even imagine?
While we are 95 percent sure he's kidding, we are hoping that with the other 5 percent that this really does happen. We are getting a little sick of the Damon-Elena-Stefan love triangle, why not make it a love trapezoid and throw Bonnie into the mix.
The actor who is clearly playing with our emotions at this point tells the host, in all sincerity, that there will definitely be a cliffhanger at the end of the finale.
The interview switches gears to answer some fans questions via Instagram.
One fan wants to know where Damon and Elena's relationship is heading during the remaining episodes of this season and into next season.
The actor answers, "Honestly, I don't know. They've been through a lot together. Also too, I will throw this out there, Damon is 173 years old, she's 18, that is the ultimate case of cradle robbing. Date someone your own age Damon."
Another fan asks what his favorite Delena moment of season five would be, which the actor replies that his romps in the seats with Elena definitely rank the highest in his mind.
