Premier League Transfer Gossip: Louis Van Gaal's Manchester United to chase German trio?
The Premier League season is coming to an explosive end, and the teams are desperate for a rest, right? Apparently not. The teams are already hard at work looking to make crucial signings for next season, ahead of the 2014 World Cup, which is being held in Brazil. The latest rumours suggest that several stars will both arrive in and depart from the Premier League, with millions and millions of dollars being spent.
Tottenham Hotspurs lost Gareth Bale to Real Madrid last year, and one of Bale's replacements, Paulinho, has had a superb first season, but is he set to follow Bale's footsteps and join Real Madrid? Real, AC Milan and Chelsea are targeting the tricky Brazilian footballer. Tottenham's rivals, Arsenal, know they're in need of some extra quality, and it's believed they will make a move for Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Lars Bender.
If Chelsea are to sign players like Diego Costa and Paulinho, they're likely to sell some players, and Romelu Lukaku may be the first go leave. The striker has scored 13 goals for Everton this season, and Roma and other European clubs are targeting the Belgium international. Leicester goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel could be set for a new club, whilst West Ham look set to face a battle to keep Mohamed Diame, with Everton chasing his signature.
The biggest news of today is that it seems a certainty that Louis Van Gaal is to be appointed Manchester United's new manager, and he wants to splash the cash. He is apparently interested in signing Borussia Dortmund duo Mats Hummels and Marco Reus, as well as Bayern Munich's Toni Kroos. Could this German trio, on top of the possible signing of left back Luke Shaw be just what United need to strengthen their team?
It looks like the Premier League will keep everybody entertained this summer.
