Supernatural has just three episodes left in Season 9, and the remainder of the season promises to focus on the overall arc and mythology tied to Metatron, Abaddon, Crowley and the rest of the main players. And, of course, Castiel will be at the center of the storm in the final three episodes.

The "Spoiler Chat" column at E! Online reports the following about the angel's role in the final episodes of Season 9, as well as some Season 10 news.

"Beth: In dire need of some Supernatural scoop on Castiel!  I feel like I have not gotten enough time with my favorite angel this season!
Well, then you'll love what's ahead! Castiel's role in the final episodes of the season 'is really important,' supervising producer Andrew Dabb previews. 'He is part of the mythology as he has been in seasons past for us. He plays big in the last...episodes.' But what about Season 10?! 'As far as next season goes, look, we love Misha [Collins]. Misha's awesome. I have a hard time imagining the show without him.'"

For those who are interested in the spinoff, Bloodlines, here's what "Spoiler Chat" says about that:

"Tyler A.: I really enjoyed the Supernatural: Bloodlines backdoor pilot...If the show is picked up, can we expect to see Sam and Dean visit Chicago?
It's still early, but that's looking like a possibility and it's even more likely you'll see some fan favorite supporting players stop by. 'In the Supernatural world, so there are supporting characters, from some of our major supporting characters like Cas and Crowley and our smaller characters like Sheriff Jody Mills, or Garth that we would very much like to see in Chicago,' the spinoff's showrunner Andrew Dabb says. 'And the fun thing is that we could bring them in for multiple episodes and really kind of explore a storyline with them, and then look, we've talked internally about some fun ideas to kind of bring Sam and Dean into this world or bring some of our Bloodlines guys into the Supernatural world. A lot of it depends on the realities of scheduling and shooting and all that kind of stuff, but it's certainly something we would love to do.'"
