One year ago Manchester United players and supporters were full of emotions as they lifted the English Premier League trophy and waved goodbye to their then beloved coach, Sir Alex Ferguson. Now a year later there were emotions flying around Old Trafford, as the club looked to regroup after a horrific season. They welcomed Hull City to Old Trafford in the final home match of the season, and Ryan Giggs was looking to try some new things in what should be his final game as a player and interim manager of Manchester United (at least at Old Trafford, anyway).

Ryan Giggs placed himself on the bench, knowing it may be the last time he gets to play in a game at Old Trafford, and he put an experimental team out, most notably handing a debut to teenager James Wilson. Wilson showed that the overpaid stars have been given too much time, and he made an instant impression, showing that perhaps youth players are the way forward for the rebuilding franchise. The teenager scored twice, and was impressive defensively as he led his team to a 3-1 victory.

Robin Van Persie came off of the bench to grab the third and final goal, ensuring Manchester Untied would enjoy at least one more win this season. Now the club will look to eradicate it's weaknesses, and then look forward to a fresh start next season.

Ryan Giggs and Nemanja Vidic waved goodbye to the Old Trafford faithful after the match had finished, and the players did a walk around the pitch, clapping and thanking the fans, who have been more than patient and faithful this season.
