'Star Wars 7' Casting News, Rumors: Disney CEO announces more spin off movies planned after 'Episode VII'

Up until this week, the news on Star Wars spin off projects had fans looking forward to two standalone movies, most likely based on Han Solo and Boba Fet. But during The Walt Disney Company quarterly earning stockholders call, CEO Bob Iger revealed that "at least three" spin offs would be released, opening up the rumor floodgates for what character it would be based on.

Thanks to reporters from Variety and The Wall Street Journal (among others) that live-tweeted the stockholders call, we learned about the third spin off project:

Before this announcement, Iger and Disney representatives said the two spin offs would come out in 2016 and 2018 - the years between the trilogy movies. Plus, the spin offs were described as "origin story films," with Slashfilm pointing out "[t]hat's why the rumors of them being about Boba Fett, in between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, and Han Solo - between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope - made so much sense"

With a third "spin off" in the mix now, rumors of a Yoda origin project will definitely grow more. This idea is also pretty exciting considering it would most likely take place either before the prequels or between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope (though this would involve him being in hiding...)
