Vertigo Comics Teases Underwater Monsters & Cyborg Pirates In Scott Snyder & Sean Murphy’s ‘The Wake #8!’ [Twitter Photos]
Vertigo Comics presents an ambitious sci-fi-horror tale that explores the horrors of the past leaping beyond into the frightening future. From writer Scott Snyder and artist Sean Murphy, The Wake #8 continues to tell to look away from the waters because there's something down there.
Previously in The Wake, Marine Biologist Lee Archer discovered a prehistoric creature in the depths of the Article Circle. These humanoid fish-like creatures have been waiting patiently to conquer mankind. The end of mankind started in the past and continues unto the future.
In The Wake #8, People have been given warnings about going into the ocean. There are monsters swimming around underwater, lurking in the darkness of the ocean floor. There are terrible secrets hidden in the deep. Leeward isn't scared of the monsters because there is something far worse she's running away from.
