Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart 'tension,' 'Twilight' hottie 'jealous' of British 'rival' Benedict Cumberbatch stealing 'sex symbol' status?

Several Robsten fans are still hoping for a romantic Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart reunion, although the former "Twilight" couple hasn't been spotted together in months. In fact, R-Patz allegedly has "more pressing" issues at hand - including the fact fellow British heartthrob Benedict Cumberbatch is currently stealing his spotlight!

For those Mstars fans still unfamiliar with 37-year-old Cumberbatch, he's a popular English actor who has starred in a slew of Hollywood hits including "Star Trek into Darkness," "12 Years a Slave," "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smog," and "August: Osage County." So, why exactly does Pattinson feel "threatened" by Cumberbatch?

An alleged insider tells ShowBizSpy:

"Rob used to revel in his status as a British sex symbol... He used to play it cool by pretending to be blasé about the whole fame thing, but secretly he loved it. Rob's annoyed that Benedict is getting all the attention and has become the hottest thing in Hollywood. Rob now realizes he took his time in the spotlight for granted!"

Really!? Does 27-year-old Pattinson seem like the type of guy who would get jealous over something like that? Or is he too busy flirting with the ladies to even bother with such a Hollywood rivalry...
