Monday Night Raw Results 5/12/14: WWE Raw Recap May 12, 2014: Daniel Bryan out indefinitely, Roman Reigns vs. Batista

The May 12, 2014 edition of WWE's Monday Night Raw emanates live from the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, S.C. and begins with The Shield in the ring. Dean Ambrose says last week was a rare occurrence because all three of them got beat down.

Seth Rollins then challenges Evolution to a rematch at Payback. He says Evolution used to be really good, but not anymore. Roman Reigns says they bloodied him and his brothers last week, but if that's the best they have, then Evolution has a problem. He says Evolution will believe in The Shield and will believe in him individually.

A limo pulls up backstage and Evolution emerges. The Shield rushes to the back and lays them out.

Zeb Colter cuts a promo before Jack Swagger's match with Rob Van Dam and says fans should not interact and should instead just shut up and watch. He has added Adam Rose to his Deportation List. As the match is about to begin, Rose's Exotic Express shows up and dances around the ring. RVD takes advantage of the distraction with a superkick and a Five Star Frog Splash for the win.

Alicia Fox gets on the mic and says Paige does not fit in and no one likes her. She cheap shots the Divas champion and the referee pulls her off twice before the match begins. Paige scores the pin after a Paige Turner. Fox goes crazy after the bell, tears apart the announce table and sprays soda all over the place. She attacks the barricade, threatens to slap the timekeeper and steals JBL's hat before she walks to the back.

Daniel Bryan comes out and talks about his battles. He says his fight will be steeper than he thought. The crowd can't decide whether to chant Yes! or No! and Bryan says, "That's what it feels like to be John Cena."

He says Kane gave him the worst beating of his life and now he has to pay the price of this business and his style with neck surgery on Thursday. He says the Authority is happy and he doesn't know when he will be back, but he promises to return. He leads a Yes! chant.

John Cena and The Usos defeat The Wyatt Family when Cena hits the Attitude Adjustment on Luke Rowan. When Cena and the Usos get to the stage, Bray Wyatt gets on the mic and says, "Thank you, John Cena, for making me realize what I must do. Follow the buzzards."

Evolution heads to the ring and Randy Orton says they need to put the Hounds of Justice to sleep. Triple H says he thought he could save the unit he helped make and grants them their rematch. He talks about picking The Shield apart when the Hounds swarm the ring and take out the three men. Batista grabs a mic and says he has had enough of this and challenges Reigns to a match later tonight.

Nikki Bella defeats Natalya with what looked like a botched maneuver. Some of the Total Divas were at ringside, and Nattie gets upset after the match and rips up a sign one of them was holding.

United States Champion Sheamus faces Curtis Axel, who wins a coin flip with Ryback to participate in the match. After the champ wins, Ryback attacks him to start an impromptu match. Sheamus wins this one, too, with a Brogue Kick.

Stephanie McMahon heads to the ring and says Daniel Bryan's surgery and story that he told earlier proves he is not an A+ player because his body could not keep up with his heart. She says she and her family must do what's best for business and calls Bryan out to the ring. Kane's music hits and he drags Bryan out onto the stage. Bryan's clothes are torn and he looks a bit burned.

Brie comes out to check on him and Stephanie heads to the stage to check on him too. EMTs load him onto a stretcher and wheel him to the back. After a commercial break, they load Bryan into an ambulance. Stephanie apologizes but Brie shoves her and tells her to stay away.

Dolph Ziggler defeats Fandango when Layla tries to cause a distraction but fails. He hits the Zig Zag for the win. Fandango grabs a mic after the match and says he may have lost, but he knows he is a winner because no woman has made him feel like Layla does. He says he loves her and kisses her in the ring.

Hacksaw Jim Duggan comes out and says it's great to be among the fans, especially after living in Legends House. Lana's music hits and says he symbolizes America: once a great nation, but now the empire crumbles and has become a laughingstock. She says China has surpassed the U.S. and has the biggest economy in the world. She says Rusev is proud to represent Russia and Vladimir Putin. Hacksaw starts a USA chant. Lana brings out Rusev and they walk to the ring.

Hacksaw prepares to defend himself but Lana stops Rusev. She gives Hacksaw a chance to beg for mercy but he refuses and Rusev smashes the 2X4 in half. Lana tells Rusev to crush, but Big E.'s music hits and he rushes the ring. Rusev quickly gains the upper hand and kicks Big E. in the face.

Cody Rhodes (w/Goldust) defeats his former tag team partner Damien Sandow when he rakes the eyes and hits the Disaster Kick for the pin.

The Wyatt Family's music hits and says Cena's actions don't surprise him anymore. He says all humans are flawed and their ignorance, greed and lust for power prevent them from thriving in this paradise like they're supposed to and instead they become parasites. He says Cena is no different and says his ego keeps bringing him to Wyatt. Bray says he wonders how their fairy tale will end and starts to sing "He's Got The Whole World in His Hands" before he looks at the camera and says, "Burn."

Batista vs. Roman Reigns ends in a no contest as the fight breaks into a brawl between the six men. The Shield moves in on Evolution in the ring, but Stephanie McMahon sends a squad of heels into the ring to take out The Shield. Reigns is severely outnumbered in the ring but he spears Triple H. Ambrose and Rollins come in with chairs and The Shield clean house.  They put an exclamation point with a triple power bomb on Ryback. They stand tall in the ring as the show goes off the air.
