Beyonce’s Support For Frank Ocean: Be Yourself
Beyonce expressed her support for Frank Ocean on her personal website.
The singer posted a poem that says, "Be fearless. Be honest. Be generous. Be brave. Be poetic. Be open. Be free. Be yourself. Be in love. Be happy. Be inspiration." The poem was written on a black and white photo of Ocean.
Ocean co-wrote Beyonce's "I Miss You" from her fourth studio album. The pop star at that time explained to Complex magazine how Ocean got involved on her project. "Jay[-Z] had a CD playing in the car one Sunday when we were driving to Brooklyn. I noticed his tone, his arrangements, and his storytelling. I immediately reached out to him-literally the next morning. I asked him to fly to New York and work on my record."
The 30-year-old singer talked about her homosexual fans in an interview with PrideSouce last year.
"The amount of confidence and fearlessness it takes to do what maybe is not what your parents expect you to do or what society may think is different - to be brave and be different and to be yourself - is just so beautiful. Not worrying about satisfying or becoming what other people think you're supposed to be, that's like the ultimate dream."
