'The Avengers' Assemble! Robert Downey Jr., Jeremy Renner & Chris Hemsworth Unite To Support Cancer-Stricken Father! #CapForSrat [Twitter Photos]
Thor, Iron Man, The Hulk, and Captain America have been called together for another Avengers mission. This time around, it's not Loki or even Hydra they have to worry about. Instead the cast of The Avengers rallied together to show support for a Marvel fan battling cancer.
Stratford Caldecott had been diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer since October 2011. According to Huffington Post, doctors told Caldecott's family that he has about 12 weeks left to live. Sophie Caldecott, his daughter, wrote on her personal Tumblr blog how she wants to make these last weeks with her father count.
From Stephanie Caldecott's Tumblr, the devoted daughter describes what her dying father is going through, "Dad is about to face the biggest challenge of his life. Death is the greatest, most frightening adventure of them all. He is one of the good guys, worthy of superhero status himself." Caldecott's offspring then quoted a lesson she learned from Agent Coulson, "It's time to call for back up - Let's give him the sendoff he deserves."
Clark Gregg teamed up with his Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. co-star Chloe Bennet to show support.

After the #CapForStart campaign started, the stars of Avengers rallied together to lend their hands in support and encouragement. Mark Ruffalo, the Hulk, was the first to tweet his support. Ruffalo was joined by Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Clark Gregg (Agent Coulson), and Robert Downey Jr. Even the stars of Marvel's Agents of Shield jumped in at the chance to raise awareness for prostate cancer.
Captain America himself, Chris Evans, joined his teammates as well:

Though he's not a true Avenger, Tom Hiddleston has a way of making Loki not seem so bad after all.
We're all cheering for you, Strat. Sending lots of love. #CapForStrat pic.twitter.com/eX6bpffQ9t — Tom Hiddleston (@twhiddleston) May 16, 2014
Marvel will screen Captain America: The Winter Solider for at the home of Stephanie and Stratford Caldecott. These Marvel superheroes made a true hero out of a dying father in front of his own loving daughter.
