Cleveland Browns Johnny Manziel Mania Is Taking Off At Cleveland Browns' Rookie Camp!

For a long time it's been known that every move Johnny Manziel made upon his entry in the NFL would be followed upon quicker than an Olympic sprint. So far this has been the case. Every breath, work and movement is being closely examined and discussed. The college star has started to practice, and everybody wants to know what comes next. He seems to have his feet to the ground and be ready for the fight ahead in becoming the No. 1 QB IN Cleveland.

When spoken to, Manziel said "I'm a rookie. I need to earn my place. I need to earn my keep. Nothing here needs to be handed to me. I don't need to be treated based off what I did in the past, because that doesn't mean a thing at this level." So it would seem the Browns have done a pretty good job in controlling the hype so far.

Coach Mike Pettine explained his views on the new quarterback. "We're well aware of the persona," Pettine said. "We're well aware of what it brings. We're excited about it. It's something that we're very willing to have come here, knowing that he has a chance to make us a better football team and a better franchise."

The hot topic this week has been Manziel reportedly texting QB coach Dowell Loggains: "Hurry up and draft me because I want to wreck this league together." Manziel explained texts were exchanged, but said "wreck this league'' may not have been his exact words, and "I don't know if that's exactly word for word. It was something along those lines.'"

And while the world is watching, Manziel is perfectly fine perfecting his craft before he makes his big debut. "Whenever it is I get a chance to play," Manziel said. "I don't want to come in and be mediocre."

It seems the Browns and Manziel may be a match made in heaven if they can handle the media attention.
