Louis Van Gaal, the impending Manchester United manager, wants to compete for the signature of Bacary Sagna of Arsenal. He's a free agent and Van Gaal will have to fight off interest from both Arsenal and Manchester City. Arsenal and Liverpool are in a battle to land Swansea star Wilfried Bony, 25, who scored 16 league goals this season. It's believed it would take a bid of nearly $35 million dollars to land the Swansea forward.
Manchester City are looking to add to their title winning squad by signing Porto's Brazilian midfielder Fernando. There are other targets, but with the club keeping an eye on their finances this summer, it's clear that Fernando may be the key player they aim to secure. Liverpool are still aiming for Adam Lallana, but are also targeting Bayern Munich midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri. After finishing second to City, they know they need to bolster their squad.
