‘Captain America: The Winter Solider’ Actress Hayley Atwell Talks ‘Marvel’s Agent Carter!’ Teases First Eight Episodes! [Watch Video]

Previously, ABC released the promo logo and first details about the highly anticipated Marvel's Agent Carter. Making her way to the lead role of her own TV series, actress Hayley Atwell dishes on what fans should expect during the show's first season.

In Captain America: The First Avenger, Peggy Carter wasn't the damsel-in-distress who needed Steve Rogers to rescue her. The secret agent did absolutely fine on her own, shooting down the bad guys and dodging explosions. Viewers are going to see more of Agent Carter on her secret spy missions in the upcoming TV series.

"They've seen her capable of being sexy, being a femme fatale, and they want to see something more," Atwell says of her character's growing popularity amongst the fans. "They want to see the complexities, the three dimensions of her. What makes her tick? What makes her crumble? What makes her crash? And the limitations of who she is, that's what makes her all the more relatable."

The Captain America heroine teased what viewers should expect during the show's first season, "I think over the arc of the eight episodes, there will be different facets to who she is, which won't disappoint the fans." The British actress continued, "Making sure that she has a story within herself, as well as the stories of each episode, who's she fighting against, and still battling with her own demons, losing the love of her life, and what the personal cost to her that is. There's many different ideas behind into who she is. She's going to become more interesting."
