This August, DC Comics will release a digital-first anthology series featuring Woman Woman. In a weekly release schedule, the iconic heroine will be starring in her own standalone stories, starting with writer Gail Simone and artist Ethan Van Sclver's Sensation Comics Featuring Wonder Woman #1!

In the DC Universe, Diana of Themyscira has been trained to become the ultimate warrior Amazon princess. With her superhuman strength and combat skills, Diana has become a champion of women in need and an ambassador to Man's World. With her Lasso of Truth, she can control anyone and force them to spill their secrets.

Currently, Wonder Woman is the love interest of Superman, not Lois Lane. As mentioned here, Superman has been infected with the Doomsday virus in Superman: Doomed #1. Does this mean Wonder Woman will have to kill the Man of Steel, in order to save him?

Senior Vice President of Vertigo and Integrated Publishing Hank Kanalz discusses the Wonder Woman digital collection, "As die-hard fans of Wonder Woman, we are incredibly honored to showcase the world's most iconic female superhero through our Digital First publishing program. Kanalz continues, "With this series, creators can dream up unique takes on the Amazon Princess to give fans a new adventure every week. We're excited about the line-up, and readers won't want to miss the sensational action-packed Wonder Woman stories we have planned for the coming weeks and beyond."

Simone and Van Sciver will kick off the first issue in the digital anthology. Future stories will come from Lauren Beukes, James Tynion IV, Cecil Castellucci, Cat Staggs, Chris Sprouse, Caitlin Kittredge, Amanda Diebert, Renae De Liz, and Georges Jeanty.

Readers should definitely get ready for the digital first issue of Sensation Comics Featuring Wonder Woman this August. With actress Gal Gadot appearing as the super heroine on the big screen, make sure you get to know Wonder Woman through her comic book series.
