Dakota Johnson 'Fifty Shades of Grey' Movie Diss: Anastasia Steele's Dad Don Johnson Slams Erotic Role, 'Blip' In Career [VIDEO]

Just last year, erotic authoress EL James announced that Dakota Johnson would star as Anastasia Steele in the highly-anticipated film adaptation of "Fifty Shades of Grey." Apparently, the 24-year-old actress' own father Don Johnson is not amused...

In a recent interview with HuffPost Live host Ricky Camilleri, the "Miami Vice" actor reveals he's never even read the kinky book trilogy - and he has no intentions to!

"I don't know anything about it," Johnson said about "Fifty Shades." He continued, "[And] this isn't something I would go out and buy and read anyways. This isn't on my bucket list. I read 'The Story Of O' in the sixties so I think I'm up to speed."

But what about his young daughter starring as Christian Grey's love interest?

"I can tell you this: Dakota is a gifted, gifted actress... And this will be a blip in a long line of parts where she kills it. She is the authentic article and I am exceedingly proud of her."

Ouch?

Well, the "Ben and Kate" beauty's mother is happy for her!

After James' viral announcement, actress Melanie Griffith tweeted - "My beautiful child Dakota has been chosen to play Ana Steele in 50 Shades!!! Look out world! Here she comes!!! #proudmama."

"Fifty Shades of Grey" is scheduled to hit theaters on Valentine's Day 2015.
