Celebrity Wedding Update: George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin Set Location For Fall Nuptials
Wedding bells are definitely chiming this weekend.
On the heels of the Kim Kardashian and Kanye West wedding, it looks like another couple is ready to tie to knot.
George Clooney and fiancé Amal Alamuddin have found their wedding location. While the exact venue for the wedding hasn't been reported yet we at least know the country the nuptials will take place in.
The Daily Mail is reporting that the wedding will take place in London this fall.
We reported earlier this week that the couple had set a wedding for September 12.
It was speculated that the couple might be getting wed at Clooney's Lake Como house but last week it was reported that the Italian Villa was broken into, so the nuptials will most likely not be taking place there.
It was also speculated however that the wedding could take place in Baakline, Lebanon which is where the home of the Alamuddin family is located. Their house is built in the traditional 150-year-old Lebanese stone style with a modest orchard behind the residency. It is also located at the peak of a mountaintop village.
Either of this three locations would make the perfect scenery for a fall wedding, but the source says that the couple is leaning closer to a London venue.
The couple, who got engaged this past April, aren't planning to extend their engagement longer than they have to.
The reasoning behind the short engagement is that the couple is very "old-fashioned." An insider with Us Weekly reported that Clooney can't wait to be married to Alamuddin.
"He'd marry her today if he could, but he wants to give her a dream wedding."
It's not just Clooney who wants to keep the engagement short-and-sweet, but also his fiancée's parents. A source told the magazine that Amal's parents are very traditional and "expect a short engagement," saying, "It is her first, and [they] want it to be her last!"
