Is This Superman's Costume from Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice?
One of the major talking points of any superhero movie is the costume, and fans eagerly anticipate photos of the outfits to dissect and discuss. Those fans might be able to do so for Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice thanks to a mysterious new photo that has leaked online.
The photo, which you can view at the top of the page, is allegedly from the Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice set and depicts part of Superman's torso, arms and legs. The entire object is gray and textured, so it's possible this could be a statue or sculpture of some sort. Or, more intriguingly, it could be the first glimpse at Superman's costume.
We've already seen a glimpse of Ben Affleck's Batman costume, and Kevin Smith expounded on what we saw on his Hollywood Babble-On podcast.
"As you may remember, I saw a photo of the Batsuit many months ago, and many people asked online, 'Is that the picture you saw?' No, that is a very cool picture, but that is not the picture I saw," Smith said on his podcast. "They put it on a fake rooftop, and they lit it up. But it was in color, and you could see every piece of detail. So I've seen some people online go, 'Why is this f*cking suit any different than the Chris Nolan Batsuit, it's all one f*cking color.' It's like, 'Dude, that's a monochrome photo. You know what that means, one chrome."
He went on to heap praise upon the new costume and its striking resemblance to the costume in The Dark Knight Returns.
"That's not a representation of what the suit looks like," Smith said. "So what the suit looks like, and I was always kind of keeping it quiet until they revealed it, but they've revealed it. And you can kind of see, and anybody that...you've seen some people take the picture and color it online. If you want to see what this f*cking suit looks like, you just go to Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns, go to the third book, Hunt the Dark Knight...it's the exact f*cking outfit he's wearing. That's why I hugged that guy all those months ago."
