Dr. Maya Angelou: "Love Liberates," Poet Talks About Her View Of Love On 'Oprah's Master Class'

Dr. Maya Angelou passed away on Wednesday morning, May 28 in Winston-Salem, NC leaving behind the wonderful and powerful memories of her life.

She was an Poet, Author, Actress, Educator, and to some a Mother. One person that she touched dearly and was very close to was Oprah Winfrey. Angelou shared some of her most deepest moments in life on OWN in a show entitled, Oprah's Master Class.

In one episode the Poet talked about love and how she had tough love, at the age of 17 becoming pregnant with her son. She talked about her childhood, and how she stepped out on the faith of God. She described life and how being raised by her grandmother, encouraged her, and how she would think about her grandmother every time she won an honor. Angelou, became mute as a child, but would teach the world.

One of her famous quotes is, "I am grateful to have been loved, to be loved now, and to be able to love, because that liberates. "Love Liberates."

RIP: Dr. Maya Angelou.
