Marvel Comics Reveals Heroic Lineup For Upcoming ‘Avengers/X-Men’ Crossover Event ‘Axis!’ Includes Storm, Deadpool, & More!
Red Skull is gathering his own team of supper baddies to take down the Marvel Universe. Now Marvel Comics reveals its lineup of heroes who will face off against Axis in the upcoming Avengers/X-Men crossover event.
As reported here, Marvel revealed its next franchise/crossover event at the Diamond's Retailer Summit in Las Vegas. In the next comic book event, Red Skull, Captain America's greatest enemy, is gathering a team of villains to take down the supeheroes. Loki, Carnage, Doctor Doom, Green Goblin, and Sabertooh are all part of his menacing gang.
For their June presentation at the Special Edition: NYC convention from ReedPop, Marvel has now announced the heroic lineup teaming up against these baddies.
The image drawn by artist Jim Cheung features Storm, Thor, Iron Man, Luke Cage, Deadpool, and Medusa. Because we know Wolverine is going to die, it seems likely Storm, in her awesome Mowhawk, will be leading the charge. Wherever Loki is lurking around, you can expect Thor to show up.
I'm wondeing how comic Spider-Man isn't in the picture. You have two of his enemies, Green Goblin and Carnage in the opposing team. It looks like when Deadpool Vs Carnage finishes, there will be animosity between these two psychopaths. Though the wall-crawler may or may not show up, Luke Cage, who is more of a side character, gets a starring role because his upcoming Marvel series will be on Netflix.
Marvel will make further annoucements about their Axis event at Special Edition: NYC in June (14-15). With Storm leading the all-star-team, do these superheroes stand a chance against the Red Skull?
