The best-selling LEGO Batman videogame franchise returns with a whole new action-packed adventure. Join the Caped Crusader, the Man of Steel, and the rest of the Justice League as they take on a deadly new foe in LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham.

In the first Lego Batman game, players got a chance to play as the Dark Knight himself and the rest of Bat-family, including sidekicks Nightwing and Robin. In the sequel, Superman showed up when Lex Luthor and Joker teamed up to make life a living hell for our superheroes. For a short time, the Justice League -- including The Flash, Green Lantern, and Wonder Woman -- showed up to take part in the final big boss battle.

When looking at the trailer for Beyond Gotham, you immediately realize the game is set somewhere in outer-space. Just like in the comics, Batman and Superman cannot get along; hinting that the Caped Crusader is jealous of the Man of Steel. While the rest of the Justice League take part of the yuck-fest, a terrifying laugh ruins their witty banter.

The super-villain Brainiac is the big boss in this third round. In the DC Universe, the extraterrestrial android is the wanted man held responsible for the destruction of Superman's home planet, Krypton. In the comics, oil tycoon Lex Luthor became President of the United States, and the videogame used that premise for their storyline. I wonder which story arc will be used this time around in the trilogy.

Game Director Arthur Parsons teases gamers what new things they should expect from this latest installment, "The main new thing is we're going to space. We're taking Batman and Robin. We're going into space with the Justice League. We're going to meet the Legion of Doom. We're going to the Lantern planets."
