Season 5 of The Walking Dead is currently filming, and Scott Gimple and company are sure to provide fans of the hit show with plenty of shocking twists and turns next season. If a new rumor is true, then the millions and millions of fans will have their jaws on the floor in Season 5.

[WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS FOR THE WALKING DEAD TV SHOW AND COMIC BOOK BELOW!]

According to The Spoiling Dead Fans, Glenn (Steven Yeun) will be killed off the show this season:

"RUMOR: we have heard from multiple sources about a possible death. Word is the death of Glenn was filmed yesterday (the post is from May 28). It's possible it could be someone else, but multiple sources stated Glenn. Reports are the set was locked down and everyone was told the cast would not be coming out."

Alanna Masterson, who plays Tara on the show, tweeted the message "When someone great is gone" supposedly at approximately the same time Yeun said goodbye to his fellow cast members.

In the comics, Negan makes his debut in the 100th issue when he bashes in Glenn's brain with his spiked baseball bat he calls "Lucille." This is a pivotal scene in the comics and will be crucial to the show, as well.

If true, then this raises some questions about the timeline of the show. The Governor's attack on the prison took place in issue 48 of the books and the midseason finale of Season 4. Negan's debut is 52 issues later, so it seems unlikely the show would rush to get to him; however, The Walking Dead has gone off book many times before, so this could be another instance of that.

What do you think, Walking Dead fans? Do you believe this rumor? Does it mean Negan will debut in Season 5? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
