Archie Comics Announces ‘Afterlife With Archie’ Sequel, ‘Sabrina!’ ‘Sabrina The Teenage Witch’ Gets Her Own Horror Series! Check Out Covers By Robert Hack!

Sabrina Spellman unknowingly unleashed the zombie apocalypse that burnt the wholesome town of Riverdale to the ground in Afterlife with Archie. Now Archie Comics continues its streak of best-selling horror titles with Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and artist Robert Hack's Sabrina.

In Afterlife with Archie #1, Jughead witnesses his dog, named Hot Dog, get run over by a speeding car. Because he couldn't bear to be without his best friend, Jughead runs to the only person he knows who can truly save him. Disobeying hers aunt's orders, Sabrina reads from the Necronomicon, the Book of the Dead, to bring Hot Dog back to life.    

When Sabrina's aunts, Hilda and Zelda, discover what she has done, they banish her to another dimension. The beloved Hot Dog then bites Jughead, starting the zombie plague. If the teenage half-witch was around, she could have actually used her magic spells to save Riverdale. At the spine-chilling conclusion of issue #5, Jughead was last seen leading an army of the undead while the rest of Riverdale was burning to a crisp.

[Spoilers] Sabrina has not shown up since the first issue of Afterlife with Archie. We don't know where she's been and what horrors she has seen in this other dimension.  The story could really go either ways. Either we'll see what happened after her aunts banished her. Or this will be a time jump and Sabrina returns to save what's left of Riverdale. [End Spoilers]

When Sabrina returns her trip to the other side, will she seek revenge against her aunt? Or will she rescue Archie and the rest of the gang from the zombies?

Afterlife with Archie Vol.1 will hit stores June 4. Sabrina #1 will hit stores in October, just in time for Halloween.
