After 18 Years Of Marriage, Melanie Griffith Files For Divorce From Antonio Banderas!
One of the most enduring marriages in Hollywood has called it quits. After reaching an 18 year milestone of marriage, actress Melanie Griffith (Working Girl) has filed for divorce from Antonio Banderas (Puss In Boots).
This will be the fourth marriage for Griffith, who was twice married to Miami Vice star Don Johnson. This will also be Banderas' second marriage, after Ana Leza. The famous couple met and fell in love in the romantic comedy, Two Much. The acting duo have been constantly plagued by split rumors throughout the year.
Just like any couple, the two stars have had their shares of ups and downs. Banderas stood by his wife's side especially when the Bonfire of Vanities actress went to rehab for an addiction to painkillers. Very few would honestly stay and help out during that kind of rocky relationship.
According to Perez Hilton, the Raising Hope actress cites irreconcilable differences as the reason for ending her marriage. According to US Magazine, the couple even went with their kids to family therapy to reconcile their differences.
A TMZ source states that sad news is actually amicable. What may be a little complicated is the division of property value. Both high-paying Hollywood actors have real estate in the U.S. and Spain.
Daily Mail reports that the Golden Globe winner is asking for child support of her 17-year-old daughter Stella, as well as sole physical and joint legal custody. We all know divorce can be extremely rough on children, especially at that age.
Despite an eighteen year running marriage, actress Melanie Griffith (Body Double) has filed for divorce from Antonio Banderas (Desperado). Because there are children involved, let's hope the divorce proceedings don't leave a mess behind.
