Cleveland Cavaliers Preparing Mega Deal For Kyrie Irving: Jabari Parker, Kyrie Irving And LeBron James Trio Still A Possibility

The Cleveland Cavaliers have been through the good and bad, but it's been more of the latter since LeBron James left for the Miami Heat. Kyrie Irving, Cleveland's latest star, can be offered a big contract this summer, and it looked like they might avoid it, or trade him, but unsurprisingly things have changed and the Cavaliers will offer him a lengthy deal as soon as possible.

This move could be the first of three famous ones this summer. One, they want to keep Irving. Two, they have the No. 1 pick in this month's 2014 NBA Draft and can still add Jabari Parker to this team. Three, the Cavaliers plan to make a move for LeBron James this summer. Irving, Parker and James could form an unlikely, yet terrific trio for the Cavaliers. It'd be hard to look past Cleveland dominance if this happens.

Per Terry Pluto of the Cleveland Plain-Dealer:

My sources tell me that the Cavs have had no doubts about offering Irving the 5-year deal, and will do so. Once July 1 arrives -- the first date that an extension can be offered -- the Cavs will set up a meeting with Irving. They will present their All-Star guard with a contract extension, a 5-year deal in the $90 million range (or whatever is the maximum number). When last asked about staying in Cleveland, Irving replied "It's a big deal for me if they do offer me that. It will be exciting. I'll make the best decision for me and my family. That's what it will boil down to. I've been part of this, and I want to continue to be part of this," he said. "We've made some strides in the right direction, especially as an organization. I want to be part of something special."

It seems better times are around the corner for Cleveland.
