Monday Night Raw Preview 6/9/14: Seth Rollins Heel Turn Aftermath, More Money in the Bank News

The June 9, 2014 edition of WWE's Monday Night Raw will emanate live from the Target Center in Minneapolis and will unspool the fallout from the chair shot heard 'round the world when Seth Rollins turned on his brothers in The Shield and almost literally stabbed Roman Reigns in the back with a steel chair. The Shield is no more, as Rollins has joined Triple H and Randy Orton in Evolution.

Rollins appeared on Friday Night Smackdown last week and said he doesn't owe an explanation to anyone except himself which, of course, is not an explanation at all. We still don't know why Rollins did what he did, so perhaps we'll learn that tonight on the flagship show. Was he tired of being the glue that holds The Shield together? Did Triple H lure him with promises of title shots and championship gold? Is this a ploy to get inside Evolution and destroy it from within? Hopefully we learn more tonight.

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan is also scheduled to appear as he continues to recover from neck surgery. The rehabilitation is taking longer than expected, which prompted Stephanie McMahon to come out last week and deliver what was more than likely a mix of storyline and truth. If Bryan is physically able to compete, then he will defend the belt against THE DEMON KANE in a Stretcher Match at Money in the Bank at the end of the month. If not, then the Money in the Bank Ladder Match will be for the vacated WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

It seems that WWE truly does not know what Bryan's status will be for the pay-per-view, so it has mapped out a plan for both options. Perhaps we'll get some more clarification from Bryan himself tonight about his recovery and get an indication of where this storyline is going.

Finally, rumors hold that tonight's Raw will feature two Money in the Bank qualifying matches, though it's unclear who would participate in said matches. This is an interesting situation to watch, because if Bryan cannot compete, WWE likely would not want mid-carders fighting for the title at the pay-per-view. The company will have to pull the trigger sooner rather than later and pick an option.

As always, check back with MStars immediately after the show for a full recap of all the action but for now, let us know your expectations for tonight's show in the comments below.
