Robert Pattinson 'Star Wars' RUMORS: Forget Indiana Jones, Kristen Stewart's Ex Considered for Yong & Sexy Han Solo Role, Following Harrison Ford Footsteps?
"Twilight" didn't ruin Robert Pattinson's career- apparently, the British heartthrob is a highly sought-after actor in Hollywood!
Rumors initially suggested that Disney wanted R-Patz to replace Harrison Ford's iconic role in an upcoming Indiana Jones reboot film. Such casting gossip still remains unconfirmed.
But now get this - 28-year-old Pattinson may get the opportunity to work on a movie set "in a galaxy far, far away..."
An alleged HollywoodLife.com insider reveals that the actor is being eyed as the next Han Solo throwback!
The source explains, "Everyone has been talking about the possibility that Rob will be the new Indiana Jones, but that is not going to happen... What has been talked about is a standalone Han Solo film, younger Han Solo before everything that happened in Star Wars and the person who is on the high list to get the part is Robert Pattinson."
Interesting... an entire "Star Wars" spinoff all his own? What do Mstars readers think about that at?
Funny enough, 71-year-old Ford just signed-on to reprise his role as Hans Solo in the upcoming "Star Wars: Episode VII" blockbuster. Rumors also suggest that Ford would like a shot at playing the heroic 'Indy" - at least just one more time - before hanging up his rugged Fedora hat for good.
Odd connection - is Pattinson an unofficial protege of Ford's?
FYI, for those unfamiliar with Han Solo:
"Han Solo is a character in the original trilogy and sequel trilogy of the 'Star Wars' universe. He is portrayed by Harrison Ford. He and his co-pilot, Chewbacca, become involved in the Rebel Alliance which opposes the Galactic Empire. During the course of the Star Wars story, he becomes a chief figure in the Alliance and succeeding galactic governments. Star Wars creator George Lucas described the character as 'a loner who realizes the importance of being part of a group and helping for the common good.'"
