'Pretty Little Liars' Season 5 Spoilers- Star Lucy Hale Talks New Season And The Fate of Ezra and Aria #EZRIA

"Everyone in Rosewood is messed up."

That's what star of Pretty Little Liars, Lucy Hale says when she sat down with E!'s Kristin Dos Santos to talk about the fifth season of the ABC Family hit.

She teases that the new season with pick up right where last season left off, focusing on Ezra getting rushed to the hospital after being shot by the mysterious 'A,' leaving his former love interest, Aria, to deal with the fallout from that.

The Erzia relationship faced some serious roadblocks last season after Aria learned that their whole relationship was based on a lie, and Erza was really using her and her friends for a novel he was working on. So that raises that question, will the two lovebirds be together when we join up with them this season?

When Kristin asks if Ezra taking a bullet for Aria was enough for her to take him back, Lucy says that it's a tricky situation.

"Their whole relationship was based on a lie, and so its like is a bullet enough for that, like does it balance it out? I want to say it kind of breaks even, but you kind of delve more into that in season five."

She gives season five the title of "the season of forgiveness," in terms of Aria's journey. Seeing how much she can and can't forgive.

As for Alison's return, "They're overjoyed that their friend is alive and back and they missed her but things are not the same as when she left," the country singer reveals. "They all grew as individuals, and now that she's back they can't just pick up where they left off."
