Cleveland Indians' Lonnie Chisenhall Causes Twitter Meltdown With 9 RBI Game.

For a long while there has been talk about whether Lonnie Chisenhall should be anywhere near the Cleveland Indians' roster, with many suggesting it would've been better to trade him. After a season of phenomenal form he has silenced the majority of his critics. Last night he won everybody in Cleveland and the entire MLB over with a career-high 9 RBI game, and he also sent Twitter in to a meltdown, with everybody talking about 'Lonnie Baseball'.

The Indians beat the Texas Rangers 17-7 to win the four game series 3-1, but Lonnie was largely responsible for this game. The star, who plays 3B , drove in 9 runs, with three home runs, going 5-5 in the process. Without these stunning numbers the Indians would have grabbed a one run victory rather than the extra nine Lonnie added to the total.

Despite having much negativity Lonnie never gave up, and now more than ever he can call Cleveland home, knowing he has well and truly been accepted. If he can continue form anywhere near this level, then we might just be looking at one of baseball's biggest stars of the future. He realized he'd made history, and after the game he said "It's a rare feat. I'm happy to have accomplished it. I know a day like today is kind of a once-in-a-lifetime thing."

Will Lonnie ever top this achievement, and why has it taken so long for him to deliver the goods he's suddenly showing the MLB? Suddenly Cleveland loves Lonnie.
