How To Celebrate Fathers Day With Your Sports Mad Dad
It's finally here, after a long time of waiting. No, not the World Cup, Fathers Day. On Sunday 15th June 2014 it's a day for Dad, so you should probably start making some plans if you haven't already. If like a lot of fathers and sons, you bonded over sports, you're in luck, there's a hundred ways to put a smile on his face while enjoying it yourself, too. Here's some ideas to create the perfect day revolving around sports for the both of you.
It can be hard to be enthusiastic at Mothers Day, as you want to put a smile on your Mom's face, but you might not enjoy the same things she does, but luckily you're likely to have a bit more in common with your father. It's likely going to be an all-day job, especially if you want to truly enjoy the job and not make it seem rushed.
One option is to attend a baseball game. There's always a near-full schedule of MLB action on a Sunday, so why not take him out to the ball park and enjoy the hot weather, beers and everything else that comes with a day out at the game. However, if you're not so much a baseball fan yourself, why not get him a subscription to MLB TV? It's not even half way through the season, and a ton of discounts have already been applied, so why not give your dad the gift of watching as many games as he pleases?
If you're more of a soccer fan, then luckily for you both the World Cup starts just days before Fathers Day, so why not spend the day having a few drinks, a nice lunch out and then come home to enjoy the World Cup matches with a nice 6 pack of cold beers?
Happy Fathers Day! Enjoy the sports and father-son time.
