Jennifer Lopez Dating 'Dancing With The Stars' Maksim Chmerkovskiy - 'I Luh Ya Papi' Singer Ditches Casper Smart For Reality Star
Is Jennifer Lopez ready to "Dance Again" with a new partner?
According to PEOPLE magazine she is. The celebrity news mag is claiming that Miss Lopez has her eye on none other than Dancing With the Stars hottie Maksim Chmerkovskiy. The singer has managed to squeeze sometime in between promoting her latest studio album (A.K.A), which will be out on June 17, to get cozy with the dancing star.
The pair reportedly met when Jennifer was introduced to him through her good friend Leah Remini, who was a contestant on Dancing but was partnered up with Tony Dovolani.
Lopez and Chmerkovskiy are taking their budding relationship slow, as they both have work commitments to focus on.
"He danced with her at the [American Music Awards last November] and they kept in touch," an insider tells PEOPLE. Another source tells the mag, "They are friends and have been talking."
Lopez and Remini were both spotted at Maks brother's Val's 28th birthday party back in March at The Redbury Hotel. They were there among 70 other guests, which included some Dancing With the Stars contestants. Lopez "drank wine and snacked on pizza," before leaving the party around 1 a.m.
When the gossip magazine asked if the source thought that the two would be going public with their relationship anytime soon, they replied, "I think they could. Who knows what will happen?"
The singer/actress/reality show host, recently split from boyfriend Casper Smart, and it seems like both of them are determined to move on from the relationship. Smart was spotted at the Maxim Hot 100 party this week with some friends. A partygoer comments that, "He was flirting with girls and having the best time."
Lopez and Chmerkovskiy have declined to comment on these rumors, but maybe they are waiting for the perfect time to announce their new coupling.
