Lana Del Rey has always been one to shock us, but her newest interview actually made our jaws drop.

The Ultraviolence singer talks about her fondness of death, and her unhappiness over being a pop star in a new interview with The Guardian. Whether it's to promote for her latest album or not, we just have to admit that the article is really emotional.

The interview, which took place in New Orleans, really digs deep into Del Rey's unhappiness, focusing on being targeted by critics, bashed for being "phony," and just her overall displeasure to be alive.

"I wish I was dead already," Lana tells her interviewer, who quickly tell her not to say that. "But I do. I don't want to keep doing this. But I am." The Guardian asks what she means doing this? To which she responds, "Everything. That's just how I feel. If it wasn't that way, then I wouldn't say it."

She then explains that her and her boyfriend share similar role models like Amy Winehouse and Kurt Cobain, who both have passed away at the age of 27. The interviewer asks if she sees an early death as something glamorous, to which she reveals, "I don't know. Ummm, yeah."

We are more saddened by this news than shocked, we just want everyone, including Lana, to feel happy all the time, but we guess that would go against her whole image. She is known for her depressingly dark, and twisted lyrics, which make her fans feel things inside of them that other singers only wish they could.

The singer is gearing up to release her new album next week, and from what we have heard it will follow these themes of the glamorization of death, biker gangs, and being scrutinized by the media.

While she immediately received backlash after releasing Born to Die, she says this time around she's not scared of that because she knows what to expect.

She reveals that she became a singer not for the fame and glory, but rather for the artistic expression.

"What I actually wanted was something quiet and simple: a writer's community and respect."

And we don't blame her; in the interview she reveals one of the "perks" of being famous was that back in 2012 her computer was hacked, giving the perpetrators access to all her personal information including health records, financial reports, and all of her songs, 211 to be exact.

It's no wonder why she feels kind of jaded by the whole Hollywood aspect of fame.

Whatever the case maybe be Lana is truly an original and always stays true to herself.
