Spain are the defending World Cup champions, and the Netherlands we supposed to merely be here to make up the numbers. However, after thumping Spain 5-1, the Dutch suddenly believe. With the powerful striker that is Robin Van Persie, and the coaching expertize of Louis Van Gaal, can the Netherlands win the 2014 World Cup, or will they of peaked too soon?

Manchester United fans will rejoice after seeing their start, knowing this Dutch duo will be looking to take them back to glory in the coming domestic season, but before our attention shifts to domestic soccer, the Netherlands have a World Cup they believe they can win. Confidence is usually key, and the Dutch will now have it in abundance after a near perfect performance.

Van Persie's double proves that they have the goals to win games, so they will feel better knowing a decent performance defensively and they should come away with the right result. Perhaps more important is Van Gaal, with limited options at his disposal he destroyed the world champions. His team will be confident that he has the knowledge to help them eliminate any opponent, no matter how good they might be.
