Floyd Mayweather Instagram Controversy. Boxer Says Females Who Show Their Body Are 'Asking To Be Disrespected'

Those are some fighting words.

Floyd Mayweather took to his Instagram page to let women know to "dress how you want to be addressed."

The photo is of a quote written on a chalkboard reading:

"How a female dresses is her advertisement. If a female shows half of her body, she's asking to be disrespected. If she dresses classy, expect to be treated like a lady. How you're addressed lies on your attire. Sexy is a spirit, not an outfit."

The photo has received some pretty harsh criticism on the social media site, some are commenting on it saying that they agree with his stance, whilst others are just calling him out on his BS.

Lavonamarie writes "You're an emotional disaster!!!! Master how to communicate Mayweather. Take a class bro."

Paolanovo comments, "You are a piece of sh*t."

Iamvannalee says, "Decency is in you CHARACTER not in what you choose to cover your body with... A REAL man will show respect regardless."

Haji1122 writes, "Finally we can agree on something."

Summer_bliss1982 comments, "Very true statement. Women take notes."

Pathofthesalaf says, "Very wise words."

Mayweather also gained some criticism last month when he told T.I during a fight to "control his bitch," referring to his wife Tiny. After his May 4th fight in Las Vegas, Tiny came to a party at his mother's house, something that T.I. wasn't too happy about and he had some choice words for the boxer. In the heat of the fight between the two he told the rapper to control Tiny.

He later apologized for the outburst saying, "I do apologize to Tiny because she cool people, man."
