Lauren Conrad Reveals Top Six Beach Essentials For Summer 2014! See What 'The Hills' Star Recommends To Beat The Heat

Lauren Conrad is a Southern California girl at heart, so who better to give us the low down on the summer essentials than a local beach girl herself.

The reality star turned fashion designer is busy juggling running her two fashion lines, an online store (The Little Market), and has just started blogging for John Freida on the side, not to mention on top of all this she is planning a wedding to fiancé William Tell.

It's easy to see why the 28-year-old might need a little rest and relaxation from the daily grind, and what better place to rejuvenate than the beach. The blonde beauty reveals her essential must haves for a day in the sun.

1. Sunscreen- Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Body Mist Sunscreen SPF 70- The fashion designer takes her skincare very seriously, like we all should. She reveals to E! that she always keeps sunscreen in her beach tote. "Sunscreens always in my bag. I know it doesn't make a difference after a certain level but I still do really high, usually like 75," the fashion designer reveals. "I do zinc on my face-the full lifeguard look. I have Melasma and it can get really bad, so I'd rather just look silly at the beach."

2. Hat- J. Crew Panama Hat- "I always have a hat with me. I have this one in a few different colors," she tells the celebrity news site.

3. Large Blanket- Everyone's got to have a large blanket to lay on at the beach. Conrad reveals that she just bought some new ones on her trip to Guatamala.

4. Stripped Ethiopian Towels- "I don't usually go in the water," she reveals to E! "My skin doesn't react well to salt water, because of that, I usually have a lighter towel because I don't need it to dry off."

5. Bikinis- H&M and Topshop- The starlet says that she stocks up on swimsuits usually from either Topshop or J. Crew because "they have a really nice fit." She adds, "I like an underwire bikini or a classic triangle style."

6. Beach Games- Rummikub and Backgammon- What is a beach day without some fun games. "I love a game at the beach," as you can tell from her the beach beauty's instagram photo above.
