'Boardwalk Empire' Season 5 Set 7 Years In The Future, Will Be HBO's Series' Finale With Intense 2014 Episodes
According to a new interview with series star Michael K. Williams, HBO's Boardwalk Empire will jump about seven years into the future when its fifth and final season debuts this fall. Williams also talked a bit about his character, Chalky, and some other teasers for the upcoming episodes taking place in a new era!
"The storyline has jumped seven years [into the future], which is why I have the beard now," he told Den of Geek. "The Depression has set in. The days of the shiny shoes and fancy suits are long gone."
It'll be interesting to see how The Depression affects the characters.
We can imagine that the final season will take place in the early 1930s and probably have something to do with the end of prohibition. With that in mind, what will Nucky (Steve Buscemi) do now that his main source of income has disappeared? Though we might not have answers for that, Williams revealed some info on the upcoming episodes and his character, Chalky.
"[Season four] ended very badly for Chalky last year," the former The Wire star revealed. "His family life is no more, and he is desperately seeking Dr. Narcisse (Jeffrey Wright) to settle old scores."
As the final season premiere approaches, we hope to get more details of the new episodes and possibly some more incite into other characters we want to catch up with. Otherwise, we'll just have to wait for the exciting concluding season of HBO's Boardwalk Empire to get the answers we want!
