Titan Comics Debuts ‘Doctor Who: The Twelfth Doctor!’ Check Out Peter Capaldi & Jenna-Louise Coleman’s Comic Book Series!

Titan Comics has set the stage for the latest Doctor Who ongoing comic series. Check out what actor Peter Capaldi and actress Jenna-Louise Coleman look like in Doctor Who: The Twelfth Doctor, by writer Robbie Morrison (The Authority) and Dave Taylor (Batman: Death by Design).

The Doctor is the last Time-Lord who can travel anywhere in the galaxy, between the past, present, and future. Just like in Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventures, the alien humanoid time-travels inside a telephone booth. But whenever the time traveler hurts himself, the regeneration process kicks in and he automatically transforms into a new host.

In The Time of the Doctor, the eleventh Doctor (Matt Smith), sacrificed himself to save the town of Christmas. During the regeneration process, the Doctor transformed from a young man to a gray-haired Capaldi. While the time-traveling machine, the TARDIS, had gone haywire, the last thing he said to his human companion, Clara (Coleman), was, "Do you know how to fly this thing?"

According to SFX, Titan Comics has revealed its first batch of covers starring the Twelfth Doctor. The main cover will be illustrated by Alice X Zhang. This cover is quite photo-realistic, capturing Capaldi's facial features and his hand pointed out. The second variant cover features Clara illustrated by Mariano Laclaustra.

The new season of Doctor Who, starring Peter Capaldi as the Doctor, will premiere in August. Titan Comics will release Doctor Who: Season 12 #1 on October 1.
