Tumblr and Reddit fans rejoice. It was just announced that mtvU will be getting an all new award show to focus on your love for all things fandom related.

Creatively titled the "Fandom Awards," these awards will be unlike any other. They will focus specifically on the shows that fans love that don't always get the recognition they deserve. The 24-hour MTV college network has released the first wave of categories including "Breakout Fandom of the Year," "Ship of the Year" (who you'd like to see together), and "Best Fandom Forever."

Oh boy, this could be a blood bath as Fandoms like Harry Potter, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer battle it out to see who will be victorious.

The awards will be presented at the Petco Park during this year's Comic-Con, and will be aired on July 27 on MTV and mtvU.

The biggest award of the night has yet to be announced but it will pit 32 different Fandoms against each other in a bracket style voting battle to see who will win "Fandom of the Year." Voting for this award will be featured exclusively on Tumblr and will pin some of the biggest Fandoms in history against each other.
