LEGO And Marvel Launch ‘LEGO Marvel Superheroes: Universe In Peril’ Trailer! [Watch Video]

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, TT Games, Marvel Entertainment, and the LEGO Group have teamed-up together to bring an action-packed videogame for the App Store. Get ready to play as your favorite superhero, whether it be Spider-Man, Captain America, or Thor in LEGO Marvel Superheroes: Universe in Peril.

Just as you will be playing characters from the Marvel roster, the gamer will be going up against their league of supervillains as well. After checking the footage, you will notice Magneto has pulled a trick out of the Ghostbusters II movie. The Master of Magnetism uses his superpowers to get the Statue of Liberty to start walking and do his evil bidding.

According to Marvel, players will have to go through 45 exciting missions. The plot revolves around searching for the Cosmic Bricks across key locations. Find the Cosmic Bricks before Loki and Doctor Doom finish building their super-weapon which will destroy the entire world.

Gamers with have more than 90 playable characters to choose from. Once the game starts playing, you will be able to activate the Hulk's Thunder Clap and Iron Man's Arc Reactor.

My favorite part of the trailer is when Beast says his most popular catch-phrase from the comics, "Oh my stars and garters!"

Jean Grey, also known as Marvel Girl, then turns to her teammate and asks probably what many comic book fans have been wondering, "What does that even mean?
