Bethenny Frankel 'The View' RUMORS - Former 'Real Housewives Of New York' Star To Co-Host ABC Talk Show?
Bethenny Frankel may be headed back to daytime TV.
The former Real Housewives of New York star is reportedly in talks to join the long running ABC hit The View according the Rob Shuter of VH1's The Gossip Show. The series is looking to find a permanent host to join Whoopi Goldberg, Sherri Shepherd, and Jenny McCarthy.
An insider revealed to Shuter, "The View is looking for someone to spice up the show. Someone with lots of opinions and a big personality and Bethenny is at the top of the list." According to the site, several meetings have occurred but no decision has been made as of yet.
If she were hired, Frankel would be looking to fill one of the seats recently vacated by Elisabeth Hasselback and Barbara Walters. She will also not be the only co-host who got their start on reality TV. Hasselback was a contestant on Survivor before she joined the show, where she stayed for nearly ten years.
Frankel hosted her own talk show, Bethenny last year, but she is looking for a new job since the series wasn't picked up for a second season.
The source also goes on to reveal that, Bethenny is "very interested in getting back on TV. It is the only thing she really knows. She is telling friends that she think she can save 'The View.'
The show has seen a slight dip in ratings over the years, but their farewell episode to Barbara Walters was viewed by 5.2 million people, making it their fourth highest viewership of all time.
