Former Premier League Soccer Player Curtis Woodhouse Fights Friday: Can He Become Double Boxing Champion?

As a youngster Curtis Woodhouse was told he couldn't make it as a footballer, but he proved them wrong, playing for a host of great English clubs. During his career he decided to hang up his boots and pick up the boxing gloves, but again, he proved them wrong. It's been a long road for Woodhouse, but on Friday June 27 every bit of blood, sweat and tears could all prove worthwhile as he looks to become a double champion.

Earlier in 2014 he fought for the British light-welterweight championship, in what he said would be hos last fight, win or lose. He won, but changed his mind. The champion of Britain will fight Willie Limond this Friday for his British title and Limond's Commonwealth title. Woodhouse is confident he can get the job done, and tweeted saying "On our way over to the final press conference, 2 days to go till fight night, cool calm and very confident of victory #WoodhouseVLimond". Can he win it?

 It seems Woodhouse does not have any fear of where he will fight, as he is in Scotland for the clash, meaning Limond has the home advantage. Before travelling to Scotland, Woodhouse tweeted "Morning tweeps, up nice and early with a spring in my step, we go behind enemy lines today #WoodhouseVLimond".

So this could mean the man that couldn't do anything has done it all. That sure seems like the way to silence his critics and prove everybody wrong. Can this former Premier League soccer player become a double champion, and if so what's next for him?
