American Idol has two officially empty judge seats and there has been much speculation on which singer will join the next season.  However, one wacky rumor began regarding Charlie Sheen as a potential judge on the Fox TV show.

Sheen responded to the rumors and even came up with his own terms on which he would join American Idol.

Sheen told Jay Leno that he was never approached by any Idol producers before he heard the rumors.

"I had never thought about it, and I heard it on the news, so I thought I'd better respond to that. I came up with my terms ... and I'm waiting to hear back," Sheen said.

Sheen believes he can be a good judge, though he is not a professional musician.  He said that he play air guitar and drums.

He jokingly said, "I could be helpful and give these kids some guidance without leading them to suicide."

""If I had a child that needed guidance, I would send that child to you," Leno said in response.

He told TMZ that there are two conditions for him to join American Idol's judge panel: "1) that FX, home of his new comedy series Anger Management, sign off on any deal and 2) that his salary be substantial enough and include a commitment that "Idol matches 20 percent of my weekly salary for Autism Speaks, JDRF, and the Boys and Girls Club."

Do you think Charlie Sheen would be a good fit for American Idol?
