The June 27, 2014 edition of WWE's Friday Night Smackdown begins with Triple H, Randy Orton and Seth Rollins and the three talk about the matches at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view this Sunday.

Rollins says there is always a Plan B if something were to go wrong, and Orton takes this personally. There is a bit of tension between the two men, but Triple H calls them the present and future of WWE and says this is best for business. He books Dean Ambrose in a match against Intercontinental Champion Bad News Barrett.

The match takes place right there on the spot, and Barrett controls much of the pace. Jack Swagger comes out and attacks both Ambrose and Barrett, but Rollins comes out to join the fray. He Curb Stomps Ambrose to end the brawl.

Unfortunately, Barrett was legitimately injured during the match. Ambrose used a ladder on him, he went down in serious pain and the referee put up the X symbol to signify a real injury. An announcement would come later that Barrett has been removed from the Money in the Bank Ladder Match on Sunday.

Paige defeats Cameron in a short match with Naomi on commentary.

Bray Wyatt comes out and cuts a promo about winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on Sunday. His match with Sheamus ends in a disqualification when Luke Harper and Erick Rowan get involved. The Usos come out to take down the duo. Sheamus escapes a Sister Abigail attempt and the faces stand tall in the ring.

Alberto Del Rio and Cesaro defeat Dolph Ziggler and Rob Van Dam when RVD taps out to the Cross Arm Breaker. Cesaro then hits Del Rio with the Neutralizer after the match.

Rusev defeats Sin Cara in a squash. Big E. comes out and cuts a promo in support of the USA. He stares down Rusev in the ring, but Rusev backs away. Big E. hits him with a clothesline anyway.

An announcement comes that Summer Rae would face Layla on Sunday with Fandango as the special guest referee.

Roman Reigns vs. Kane ends in a no contest after Orton gets involved in the match. He climbs a ladder in the middle of the ring, grabs the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and stares down Kane to end the show.

In a dark segment, Orton sets up for a punt kick, but Reigns spears him and then spears Kane.
