Rob Lowe Rescued! [Instagram & Twitter Photos] Family Safe From French Floods!
Rob Lowe never expected his European vacation taking a turn for the very worst. In a tremendously frightening event, the Parks and Recreation actor and his family had to be rescued from the raging floodwaters in Grasse, France.
The St. Elmo's Fire actor never expected his vacation house to be in danger. In the overnight storms, the pouring water escalated into major floods that brought a clear path of destruction. The muddled waters destroyed the TV star's entire first floor.
This is just one of the stories from the terrible night. Local rescue officials tell People, "This was the biggest storm of the year. Water rising like that can be terrifying. There's only one rescue station in Grasse, and this storm required assistance from several other regional units. We were called out on a lot of emergency rescues yesterday."
The Outsiders actor was heading towards France from Spain. On his official Instagram, the '80s Brat Pack member posted a snapshot of the flooding water.
Lowe writes beside the photo, "This is right outside the house. Was twice as high at the worst, just before sunrise."
Johnny Lowe, the son of The West Wing actor, also shared a photo on his official Twitter. The TV star's child even expressed his gratitude to the firemen who rescued him and his family.
Thank you to the fireman that saved us from this nightmare. Happy for us all to be safe, thoughts to others. pic.twitter.com/NWOdtMsAmj
