How To: Flowered Tips (VIDEO)
You'll be looking garden fresh with this manicure.
To begin this look, make sure your nails are clean and filed to a rounded tip. Feel free to shape your nails in your preferred style.
Once filed, coat your nails with a base polish. This can be a strengthening base coat or your favorite clear polish. I chose to begin using OPI's Nail Envy after hearing rave reviews online. You can get this polish at any beauty supply like Ulta or Sally Beauty Supply.
Choose a green polish and use the brush as a tool to assist with your green tip. I used NYC's High Line Green. Then use a dotting tool to paint on a stem from this tip for your flower to stand on.
You can get creative with this next step by choosing different colors for your flower. I went with Brucci's Bare Essentials with a center color of Revlon's ColorStay in Delicious.
Using a dotting tool, create base petals. Connect the dots to create a flowered effect. Wait for this layer to dry before moving on.
Again, using a dotting tool you're going to do the same process as before, but within the first flower.
To finish this flower, add a dot of gold nail polish in the center or the "eye" of the flower. I used Essence's Breaking Dawn collection in A Piece of Forever.
If you're feeling especially creative, add leaves to your stem. Again, using a dotting tool add droplets onto your nail and drag the polish for it to connect to the stem.
