Kristen Stewart NOT In 'Snow White And The Huntsman' Sequel With Director Frank Darabont In 2016 - Rupert Sanders Cheating Scandal To Blame?
It looks like the rumors of Frank Darabont (former The Walking Dead showrunner, Shawshank Redemption, Green Mile) directing the Snow White and the Huntsman sequel are coming true! The filmmaker is said to be in talks with Universal Pictures for the sequel, but the film's star Kristen Stewart is apparently not involved in any talks right now.

According to new reports, Robert Pattinson's high-profile ex-girlfriend isn't expected to appear in the next chapter of the fantasy series in a leading role, though she could have a smaller part if need be.
This isn't the first time we're hearing of Kristen's wavering involvement with the sequel. According to a report from two years ago, right after the film's release, the sequel was said to be more about The Huntsman (Chris Hemsworth) and less about the Disney beauty. At the time, Universal was saying that they were " "exploring all options," which is surely a nice way of saying they didn't know how Stewart would factor in.
We can't say for sure, but Stewart might be relegated to a cameo appearance in the new film.
Kristen's torrid affair with the 2011 film's director, Rupert Sanders, was one of the biggest tabloid debacles of the last decade. This could be another reason why the studio wants to distance Stewart from the new project.
